Welcome aboard. This guide walks you through everything you need to do to get Wader set up and start logging flights right away. Each step is quick — you can be logging your first flight in under a couple of minutes. *** ## Step 1: Download & Sign Up Access Wader web app through your browser at [https://logbook.waderaviation.com](https://logbook.waderaviation.com/admin) or download our dedicated mobile app from the app store: Wader is available on both **iOS** (App Store) and **Android** (Google Play) — search for **Wader Logbook** and install the app. > **Web:** the Sign Up page shows as soon as you open the platform for the first time. > > **Mobile:** the Sign Up screen appears the first time you try a feature that needs an account. You can choose among below options to create your account: | Option | Notes | | ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- | | Email & password | Standard sign-up with any email address | | Continue with Google | Uses your Google account | | Continue with Apple | Uses your Apple ID (available only on Apple devices) | | Continue with Facebook | Uses your Facebook account | *** ## Step 2: Set Up Your Profile After signing up, you'll be prompted to set up your profile (mobile app) or requested to define your role (web app). You can always update your information later on accessing your Profile. Here are the data you can set and how they are used in Wader: * **Full name** — used on exported logbooks and in the community feed * **Profile photo** — optional, but it personalizes your experience * **Role** — the app sets your default preferences based on it (check Step 3 below) * **Birthday** — used for account ownership identification, whenever needed * **Country** — helps Wader learn more about our community and know where to focus on further developments! *** ## Step 3: Set Your Preferences Preferences are the defaults Wader applies automatically every time you log a new flight. Setting them up correctly from the start saves you a lot of repetitive tapping. The most important defaults to configure: | Preference | What it does | | ----------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Crew size** | Sets whether your flights are solo or multi-crew | | **Function** | Your usual role — PIC, SIC, Dual, etc. | | **Flight rules** | IFR or VFR as your most common operation | | **Cross-country** | Whether your flights should be counted as cross-country by default | | **Auto-calculate night time** | Let the app automatically calculate night time for you based on the flight date, departure and arrival airport locations. | {% hint style="success" %} If you skip this step, Wader will learn your defaults from the first flight you log and use those going forward. The minimum fields required are: * **Flight date** * **Aircraft** (tail number and type) * **Departure and arrival airports** * **OUT and IN times** (block time) * **Function** (PIC, SIC, Instructor, etc.) * **Pilot in Command name** (required for EASA regulation only) Fill those in and tap **Save** — that's it. Your flight is in the logbook! {% hint style="info" %} A flight saved without the minimum fields will appear as **incomplete** (shown in gray in the mobile app or with a ⚠️ indication in the web app) and will not be counted in your totals or included in exports until all required fields are filled. | # Dashboard A summary of your flight hours, fleet and experience history. The Dashboard gives you a high-level view of your logged experience. Available features and disposition vary slightly between the mobile and the web apps: {% tabs %} {% tab title="Mobile" %} Your Dashboard can be accessed by tapping your avatar in the top left corner or through **More → Dashboard**. It has five tabs: #### Totals Tab Shows aggregated flight time statistics broken down across all standard logbook categories: * Total time, PIC time, SIC time, night time, IFR time, cross-country time, and more {% hint style="info" %} Statistics only include [**complete flights**](/reference/flight-validation). #### Map Tab Shows a world map with your flown routes plotted as arcs between airports, giving you a visual overview of your routing history.

#### Wallet Tab Stores and tracks your pilot certifications, medical certificates, ratings, and travel documents — with expiry date monitoring so you always know what needs renewing. {% hint style="info" %} Wallet is part of the **Career** page in the web app. {% endhint %} {% content-ref url="/pages/gxs2kRYuKpQcuhhzZFPf" %} [Wallet](/quick-start/dashboard/wallet) {% endcontent-ref %} {% endtab %} {% tab title="Web" %} Your Dashboard is the home screen of the web app, opening automatically after you sign in and can be accessed anytime by selecting **Dashboard** in the lateral menu. #### Header At the top, you'll see a time-of-day greeting with your name and today's date. Two quick-action buttons let you jump straight into the most common tasks: * **Log a Flight** — opens the flight logging form * **Import** — takes you to the import page to upload flights from supported airlines or apps (PRO feature) #### Stat Widgets A row of customizable stat cards shows key totals at a glance. By default these are **Total**, **PIC**, **Last 30 Days**, **Last 365 Days**, and **Last Flight**, but you can click any card to swap it for a different metric, including PIC, SIC, PICUS, SPIC, Dual, Instructor, Examiner, Turbine, IFR, Night, Last 30/90/365 Days, Last Flight, Total Distance, Sectors Flown, Countries Visited, and Airports Visited. Your choices are saved so the Dashboard stays arranged the way you like it. If a metric includes hours carried over from previous experience you logged manually, a small **"prev. exp."** badge appears on that card. #### Flight Hours Chart A bar chart shows your flight hours over time, with **Monthly** and **Yearly** views. The monthly view covers the last 12 months. Only [complete flights](/reference/flight-validation) count toward this chart — incomplete flights and simulator sessions are excluded. #### Travel Stats This section breaks down where and how you've been flying. You can filter it by time period, by aircraft, and by type rating. It shows: * **Distance** — total distance flown, in both km and NM * **Airborne** — total airborne time, with your average flight duration per sector * **Sectors** — number of flights, plus how many distinct days you flew * **Countries** — number of countries visited, with your most frequent ones shown as flag emojis * **Airports** — number of airports visited, plus your most-visited airport * **Farthest** — your longest single flight by distance, with the route * **Longest** — your longest single flight by duration, with the route If you've flown enough distance, a row of **Fun Facts** appears — playful comparisons like how many times you've circled the Earth or how far you'd be toward the Moon, Mars, or the Sun. Below the main stats, you'll find breakdown tables listing your countries and aircraft types. #### Recent Flights The bottom of the Dashboard shows your most recent flights (up to six) as a quick preview. Tap **View all** to go to your full logbook. {% endtab %} {% endtabs %} # Wallet Track your pilot certifications, medical certificates, and travel documents with expiry date alerts. The **Wallet** is a document management system built into your Dashboard. It keeps all your aviation certificates and travel documents in one place, with expiry date tracking so you always know what needs to be renewed. Open the **Wallet tab** in your Dashboard 2. Tap the **+** button 3. Select the document category 4. Enter the document details and **expiry date** 5. Save *** ## Expiry tracking The Wallet displays each document's expiry date and highlights those that are approaching renewal. This gives you a quick overview of your currency status without having to check each document individually. *** ## Sync Wallet data is stored in the cloud. Pull down to refresh if your documents appear out of date on a secondary device. # The Feed Stay connected with the aviation community through flight reports, operational alerts, and news. The Feed is a live, community-driven stream of aviation activity. This space is reserved for important app updates and announcements from the Wader team. {% endhint %} *** ## Interacting with Posts * Tap **Thanks** to appreciate a post. * Tap **Comment** to open the comment section and start a conversation. *** ## Offline Behavior The Feed updates in real time. When you are offline, Wader shows a cached version of the last feed you loaded. *** ## Available Widgets ### Flight Time Widget Shows your total flight hours over a selected time period.

The widget displays a progress bar showing how much of your limit you have used. # Sharing a Flight Share your flights with the Wader community directly from your logbook. After logging a flight, you can share it to the Feed so other pilots can see your route, aircraft, and operational details. {% hint style="warning" %} Your flights are **NEVER shared to the Feed automatically**. Nothing is posted without your action and confirmation. You are always in full control of what you share. {% endhint %} *** ## How to Share a Flight 1. Open the flight you want to share from your **Logbook**. 2. On the flight detail screen, tap the **Share to Feed** option. 3. Optionally add a **caption** to describe the flight. 4. Optionally attach a **photo**. 5. Tap **Confirm** — your flight post will appear in the community Feed. After your post is shared to the Feed, you’ll also see an option to share it on **Instagram**. You can skip this step, or tell the app not to show this Instagram option again in the future. *** ## What Appears in Your Shared Post

*** ## Deleting a Shared Post Open the post in the Feed and tap the **delete** option. The Airports screen is your in-app airport reference. Use it to look up weather, keep personal notes, and review your own flight history at any airport. *** ## Searching for an Airport * Tap the **search bar** at the top and type an **ICAO code**, **IATA code**, or **city name**. * Results appear as you type — tap any result to open the airport detail page. {% hint style="info" %} The search field auto-capitalizes. You can type in lowercase and it will convert automatically. {% endhint %}

*** ## Favorites and Recent Airports When you are not actively searching, the screen shows your **favorite airports** at the top followed by your **recent airports**. The **Weather tab** on any airport detail page shows the latest meteorological information for that airport. *** ## METAR and TAF Use the **METAR / TAF selector** to toggle between the two report types: | Report | What it shows | | --------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **METAR** | Current weather observation — wind, visibility, clouds, temperature, altimeter | | **TAF** | Terminal aerodrome forecast — expected conditions over the next period | Both report types are shown in **raw format** alongside a **decoded interpretation** for easier reading. Tap the **refresh button** to fetch the latest data. If no data is available for an airport, a "no data" message is displayed.

*** ### Weather history graphs The Weather tab also includes **graphical charts** showing recent weather trends for the airport — a visual representation of conditions over time to help you quickly spot patterns in wind, visibility, and cloud cover. *** ## Offline Behavior Weather data requires an internet connection. {% hint style="warning" %} If you are offline, the last loaded weather data may still be visible from cache, but a message will indicate that the data may be outdated. {% endhint %} # Stats, My Stuff & Notes Community statistics, your personal flight history, and notes for each airport. *** ## Stats Tab The **Stats tab** shows community-aggregated data for that airport, built from reports submitted by all Wader pilots. | Data | What it shows | | --------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Number of reports** | Total flight reports submitted for this airport | | **Runway usage** | Which runways are most frequently used, based on community data | | **Threat frequency** | Most commonly reported threats at this airport (e.g., wind shear, wake turbulence) | {% hint style="info" %} The more pilots contribute by filling in the Operational Report when logging flights, the more accurate and useful this data becomes. *** ## My Stuff Tab The **My Stuff tab** is personal and only visible when you are logged in as a pilot. ### Last Operations Shows a table of your own past flights at this airport: * Runway used at departure or arrival * Threats you reported for each operation This is useful for reviewing your own experience at an airport before a return visit.

### Notes A freeform text area where you can write personal notes about this airport — procedures, restrictions, local peculiarities, or anything else you want to remember. Notes are saved per airport and persist across sessions. {% hint style="success" %} Your notes are **completely private**. They are only visible to you and are never read, accessed, or used by Wader in any way. {% endhint %} # Your Logbook How to navigate and understand the flight list screen. The **Logbook screen** is the heart of Wader. It shows every flight you've logged as a list of cards, ordered from most recent to oldest. This is your starting point for reviewing, editing, and managing your flight records.

*** ## What's on a Flight Card Each card in the list gives you a quick summary of that flight at a glance: | Element | Description | | --------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- | | **Flight number** | The flight number or identifier for that leg | | **Tail number** | The aircraft registration used on that flight | | **Departure airport** | ICAO/IATA code and block-off time | | **Arrival airport** | ICAO/IATA code and block-in time | | **Aircraft model** | Type designation (e.g., B738, A320) | | **Block time** | Total block-to-block duration | | **Sync status icon** | Indicates whether the flight has been saved to the cloud | *** ## Flight Status Colors The color of a flight card tells you whether that flight is complete and counting toward your totals. | Color | Meaning | | ------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Green (for Flight) and Purple (for Simulator)** | The log is complete — all required fields are filled. It is included in your totals and will be included in exports. | | **Gray** | The log is **incomplete** — one or more required fields are missing. It does **not** count toward your totals and will **not** appear in exported logbooks until it is completed. | {% hint style="warning" %} Incomplete logs (gray cards) are excluded from all calculations and exports. This page walks you through creating a new flight entry from start to finish. ## Step-by-step ### 1. Open a new flight Tap the **+** button and select Flight to open a blank flight form. ### 2. Set the date The date defaults to today. Tap it to change it if you are logging a past or future flight. ### 3. Select your aircraft Enter the tail number and the ICAO aircraft type code (for example, B738 or A320). Tap **Use last aircraft** to repeat the tail number and type from your previous flight — useful for pilots who fly the same aircraft regularly. ### 4. Set your crew Select the total number of pilots (1–4), then enter each pilot's name. Click the search icon next to a pilot position to autocomplete it from your previous entries. Tap **Use last crew** to repeat the same crew as your previous flight. ### 5. Enter airports Enter the departure airport in the **FROM** field and the arrival airport in the **TO** field using IATA or ICAO codes. Wader automatically looks up the airport details. ### 6. Enter times (UTC) Fill in the four block times, all in UTC: | Field | Meaning | | ------- | ------------------------------------------- | | **OUT** | Off-block — when the aircraft starts moving | | **OFF** | Takeoff — wheels up | | **ON** | Landing — wheels down | | **IN** | On-block — aircraft parked | OUT and IN are the only required times. OFF and ON are optional but recommended for accurate totals and to automatically fill the your takeoffs and landings as day or night. ### 7. Fill in logbook details Select your **function** (PIC, SIC, etc.), **flight rules** (IFR, VFR, or mixed), **flight conditions** and **cross country**. If this was a multi-pilot operation, enable the **Multi-Pilot** toggle. ### 8. Add remarks Use the **Remarks** field for endorsements, special procedures, or any notes you want recorded in your logbook. ### 9. Save Tap **Save**. Your flight is now in your logbook. *** {% hint style="info" %} **Speed up daily logging with preferences.** Your preferences auto-fill most fields — set them once in Settings and you will rarely need to re-enter them. Flights with missing required fields appear gray in your logbook list and are not included in totals until all required fields are filled. This page documents every field in the Wader flight form. Fields are listed in the order they appear on screen.
Flight form - top section

The flight form — basic info, aircraft, crew, times, and airports

*** ## Basic Information **Flight Number** Optional. Free text, auto-capitalized. Enter your airline flight number or any identifier you use in your logbook. **Date** Defaults to today. This is the reference date for all times associated with the flight. *** ## Aircraft **Tail Number** The aircraft registration. The country-code prefix is set in Preferences and prepended automatically. **Aircraft Type** ICAO type code for the aircraft (for example, B738, A320, C172). Searchable dropdown — start typing to filter the list. **Use last aircraft** Toggle this on to repeat the tail number and aircraft type from your most recent flight. Saves time when flying the same aircraft regularly. *** ## Crew **Total Crew** Select the number of pilots on the flight: 1, 2, 3, or 4. **Pilot names** Up to four name fields, one per pilot. Each field supports autocomplete from names entered in previous flights. **Use last crew** Toggle this on to repeat all pilot names from your most recent flight. **Pilot Flying (PF)** Visible when total crew is greater than 1. Select which pilot was flying at departure and which was flying at arrival. *** ## Flight Times (all UTC) All times are entered in UTC. | Label | Meaning | | ------- | -------------------------------------- | | **OUT** | Off-block — the aircraft starts moving | | **OFF** | Takeoff — wheels up | | **ON** | Landing — wheels down | | **IN** | On-block — aircraft parked at stand | OUT and IN are required times. OFF and ON are optional but recommended — they improve the accuracy of logbook totals and automatically determine whether takeoffs and landings are counted as day or night. *** ## Airports **FROM** Departure airport. Accepts both ICAO and IATA codes. Wader automatically looks up the airport name and data. **TO** Arrival airport. Accepts both ICAO and IATA codes. {% hint style="info" %} You can save a flight with no fields filled in and complete it later. There are no required fields for saving. Fields such as airports and times affect whether a flight is validated and counted in your totals and exports, but they are never required just to save. {% endhint %} *** ## Takeoffs and Landings **Day Takeoffs / Night Takeoffs** Tap to increment the counter for day or night takeoffs. **Day Landings / Night Landings** Tap to increment the counter for day or night landings. *** ## Approach **Approach Type** Scrollable dropdown. Options include ILS CAT I, ILS CAT II, ILS CAT III, RNP-AR, VOR, NDB, Visual, and others. *** ## Logbook Details **Multi-Pilot** Visible when total crew is greater than 1. Toggle on when the flight is classified as a multi-pilot operation under applicable regulations. This reflects the regulatory classification of the operation, not simply the number of pilots aboard. Some flights with more than one pilot are still classified as single-pilot operations — for example, instruction flights during flight school where only one pilot is logged as PIC. Enabling this field allows separate tracking of PIC time and SIC time. **Function** Your role on this flight. Options: * **PIC** — Pilot in Command * **SIC** — Second in Command * **FE** — Flight Engineer * **FI** — Flight Instructor * **Dual** — Dual instruction received * **SPIC** — Supervised PIC * **PICUS** — PIC Under Supervision. See [PICUS Time](/reference/picus-time). **Flight Rules** Select **IFR**, **VFR**, or **IFR+VFR** for a mixed flight. **Flight Conditions** Select **None**, **Actual Instrument**, or **Simulated Instrument**. **Actual Instrument %** Visible when Actual Instrument conditions are selected. A slider from 0 to 100% (default 100%) indicating the proportion of the flight flown in actual instrument conditions. **Cross-Country** Checkbox. See [Cross-Country Time](/reference/cross-country-time) for how this is determined in Wader.

*** ## Optional Times The following fields appear automatically based on your other selections. Use this for endorsements, special procedures, route notes, or any information you want preserved in your logbook. Keep remarks concise — long text may be cropped in PDF logbook exports. *** ## Operational Report (Departure and Arrival) Visible when airports are selected. Contribute to our community-fed threats and airport statistics! This section is for your personal reference only and is not exported to the PDF logbook. **Runway** Dropdown populated from the airport's runway data. **SID / STAR Procedure** Free text. Enter the departure or arrival procedure name. Appears for IFR flights. **SID / STAR Transition** Free text. Enter the transition name. Appears once a procedure has been entered. **Threats** Select from a list of operational threats such as wind shear, wake turbulence, and similar items. **Notes** Freeform private notes about this particular operation. Only you have acces to this and it is not used for airport statistics. # Importing an OFP Auto-fill your flight details by importing data from your Operational Flight Plan PDF. ## What is OFP import? Wader can read your airline Operational Flight Plan (OFP) PDF and automatically populate key fields in the flight form. This eliminates manual data entry for the information already present in your OFP. The following fields are filled in automatically when you import an OFP: * Flight number * Aircraft ICAO type * Tail number * Departure airport (ICAO) * Arrival airport (ICAO) * Date of flight * EOBT (Estimated Off-Block Time) *** ## How to import 1. Open a new or existing flight in Wader. 2. Tap the **OFP** button at the top of the flight form. 3. Select your OFP PDF file from your device. 4. Wader reads the file and fills in the matching fields. 5. Review the imported data and complete any remaining fields before saving. *** ## Requirements * **Digital PDF only.** The file must be a text-based PDF document. Scanned pages and handwritten documents are not supported. * **ICAO FPL block required.** Wader extracts flight data from the standard ICAO FPL block — the `(FPL-...)` section — present in your OFP. If your OFP does not include this section, import will not populate the fields. *** {% hint style="info" %} **Some fields not populating?** Check that your OFP PDF is a text-based document (not a scanned image) and that it contains the standard ICAO FPL section. If the `(FPL-...)` block is missing or formatted differently by your airline's dispatch system, Wader may not be able to extract all fields. {% endhint %} # Logging Simulator Time How to log simulator sessions in Wader. Wader supports logging simulator sessions separately from regular flights. Simulator entries appear in your logbook list alongside flights but with a distinct card style so they are easy to identify at a glance. *** ## Creating a simulator entry 1. On the **Logbook** screen, tap the **+** button to open a new entry. 2. Set the **date** (the date defaults to today. Tap it to change it if you are logging a past or future session). 3. Select the **simulator qualification level** that matches your session. 4. Fill in the remaining fields — simulator registration, date, aircraft type, crew, airports, times, and logbook details — as you would for a regular flight. 5. *** ## Simulator entries in the logbook * Simulator sessions are displayed in the logbook list alongside real flights, with a distinct card style and color (purple) * **Swipe left shortcuts** (Duplicate, Next Flight and Return Flight) are not available for simulator entries. * Simulator time is tracked separately in your **Dashboard** totals and is not mixed into your flight time. # Swipe Actions Quickly delete, duplicate, or create follow-on flights directly from the logbook. Flight cards in the Logbook support swipe gestures that let you take quick actions without opening a flight. This is especially useful when logging a busy day of flying with multiple legs.

*** ## Swipe Left — Delete Swipe a flight card **to the left** to reveal the **Delete** button (shown in red). Tap **Delete** to confirm. The deletion is **permanent and cannot be undone**, so make sure you're removing the right flight before confirming. {% hint style="danger" %} Deleted flights cannot be recovered. If you have cloud sync enabled, the deletion will propagate to all your devices. {% endhint %} *** ## Swipe Right — Quick Create Actions Swipe a flight card **to the right** to reveal three buttons for quickly creating new flights based on the selected one: ### Duplicate Creates an exact copy of the flight with **all fields pre-filled** — same aircraft, same airports, same crew, same times. Use this when you need to log an identical or nearly identical flight. You can then open the duplicate and adjust any fields that differ. ### Next Flight Creates a new flight using the **same aircraft, crew, and general setup**, but with all time fields left empty. The departure airport is pre-set to the arrival airport of the original flight, so the new leg picks up exactly where the last one left off. This is ideal for logging back-to-back legs on a multi-sector day without re-entering aircraft and crew details every time. ### Return Flight Creates a new flight with the **departure and arrival airports reversed** — the aircraft and crew details are carried over from the original flight, but time fields are left empty. Use this for the return leg of an out-and-back routing. *** ## Notes & Tips {% hint style="info" %} The **Next Flight** and **Return Flight** actions are not available for simulator sessions. Simulators do not follow the same point-to-point routing logic as real flights. {% endhint %} **Tip:** For a multi-leg day, log your first flight fully, then use **Next Flight** on each completed leg to pre-populate the next one. This keeps your aircraft, crew, and setup consistent across all legs and cuts data entry to just the time fields. # Searching & Filtering Find specific flights quickly using search and filter tools. When your logbook grows to hundreds or thousands of flights, finding a specific entry quickly matters. Wader gives you two tools for this: **Search** and **Filter**. *** ## Search Tap the **magnifying glass icon** in the top bar of the Logbook screen to open the search bar. You can search flights by any of the following: | Search term | Examples | | ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------- | | **Airport** | ICAO code (`EGLL`) or IATA code (`LHR`) | | **Pilot name** | First or last name of any crew member on the flight | | **Flight number** | `BA456`, `UA101` | | **Tail number** | Aircraft registration, e.g. `G-EUOE` | | **Aircraft type** | Type designator, e.g. `A320`, `B738` | | **Remarks** | Any text recorded in the remarks field | Results update as you type. Tap a result to open that flight. {% hint style="warning" %} Search may not work correctly with **special characters** (accented letters, diacritics, non-Latin scripts). For best results, use standard Latin characters — for example, search `Zurich` rather than `Zürich`. {% endhint %}

Tap the **filter icon** in the top bar to open the filter panel. Filters let you narrow the flight list to a specific subset of entries. Available filters: | Filter | What it shows | | ------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- | | **Incomplete logs only toggle** | Only flights that are missing required fields (gray cards) | | **Flight toggle** | Show/Hide flights from the list | | **Simulator toggle** | Show/Hide sim sessions from the list | | **Date range** | Flights within a specific start and end date | ### Combining Filters Filters can be combined. For example, you can filter for **real flights only** within a **specific date range** at the same time. ### Active Filter Indicator When one or more filters are active, a visual indicator appears on the filter icon to remind you that the list is not showing all flights. ### Clearing Filters Tap **Reset** inside the filter panel to clear all active filters and return to the full flight list. *** ## Tips {% hint style="success" %} Use the **Incomplete flights only** filter to quickly surface any gray (incomplete) logbook entries. This is a great way to do a regular logbook audit and make sure all your flights are counted toward your totals. {% endhint %} **Tip:** Combine **Simulator sessions only** with a date range filter to quickly review your simulator currency for a specific period. # Syncing Your Logbook Keep your logbook in sync across all your devices. Wader automatically backs up your flights to the cloud so your logbook is safe and consistent across all your devices — your phone, tablet, or any other device you sign into. *** ## How Automatic Sync Works Every time you **save or edit a flight**, Wader attempts to sync that change to the cloud immediately. No manual action is required. If your device is **offline** at the time of saving, the flight is stored locally and will sync automatically the next time an internet connection is available. *** ## Sync Status Icons Every flight card in the Logbook displays a small cloud icon showing whether that flight has been synced: | Icon | Meaning | | -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Green cloud icon** | Flight synced successfully to the cloud | | **Red cloud icon** | Sync pending — the flight will upload when a connection is available | {% hint style="info" %} A pending sync icon does not mean anything is wrong. It simply means the device was offline when the flight was last saved or edited. Sync will happen automatically once you're back online. {% endhint %} *** ## Forcing a Manual Sync If you want to trigger a sync immediately rather than waiting for Wader to do it automatically, you have two options: ### Option 1 — Sync Button Tap the **sync button** (the circular arrow icon) in the top-right corner of the Logbook screen. This triggers a full sync of your entire logbook. ### Option 2 — Pull to Refresh **Pull down** on the flight list with your finger and release. This performs the same full sync as tapping the sync button. Use whichever feels more natural. *** ## First-Time Sync on a New Device If you reinstall Wader or sign in on a new device, Wader needs to download your complete logbook from the cloud. Depending on the size of your logbook, this initial sync may take a little while. A **progress message** will appear on screen while the download is in progress. You can start browsing the app, but your full flight history may not appear until the sync is complete. {% hint style="success" %} Your data is always safe in the cloud. Even if you switch devices or reinstall the app, every flight you've ever logged will be restored once the sync completes. {% endhint %} *** ## Tips **Tip:** If flights on a secondary device appear out of date or are missing recent entries, tap the **sync button** or **pull to refresh** in the Logbook screen to force an update. This is the fastest way to pull in changes made on another device. **Tip:** If you frequently fly in areas with poor connectivity, make sure you sync before going offline so that any edits from other devices are pulled in before you lose your connection. # More Access logbook tools, settings, and aviation utilities from the More tab. The **More tab** is your central hub for logbook management and app settings. Access it from the bottom navigation bar.

Useful when reviewing NOTAMs, METARs, or documentation with unfamiliar acronyms. *** ## Calculator A basic calculator for quick arithmetic — handy for fuel calculations, weight and balance, or any other in-flight math. *** ## Phonetic Alphabet The full NATO phonetic alphabet (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie…) for quick reference when spelling out registration numbers, waypoints, or any other identifiers over the radio. *** ## Rest Calculator Calculates rest and duty time requirements based on your inputs. Useful for checking compliance with your operator's FTL (Flight Time Limitations) rules before or after a duty period. # Importing Your Data Bring your existing flight history into Wader from other logbook apps or airlines systems. Instead of manually adding all your previous experience, Wader offers two ways for you to bring in your historical flight data: * **Add previous experience totals** — a lighter option that lets you enter total hours by aircraft type, which are then reflected in your Dashboard and PDF exports without importing flight-by-flight detail, so Wader acts as a continuation of your previous logbook. This is particularly useful if you have an old printed logbook and want to start using a digital logbook. More about it here: [Adding Previous Experience](/importing-your-data/previous-experience). * **Import from a supported logbook app or airline system** — this is an exclusive feature for PRO subscribers. More about this option here: [Importing from Another Logbook](/importing-your-data/from-another-logbook) # Adding Previous Experience Quickly add your total flight hours by aircraft type without importing individual flights. If you don't need to import every individual flight — just your totals — use the **Previous Experience** tool. This lets you enter total hours by aircraft type (for example, 1,200 hours on B738), which are then included in your Dashboard totals and PDF exports. This is a good option if you're starting fresh in Wader and only need your historical totals reflected, without full flight-by-flight detail. ## How to add previous experience 1. Go to **More → Previous Experience** (or access it from the import section). 2. Tap the **+** button to add an aircraft type. 3. Enter the aircraft ICAO type code and your total hours for that type. 4. Save — the hours will immediately appear in your totals.

## Notes * Previous experience can be included or excluded when exporting your logbook. Toggle this option in the export settings before generating your PDF. * Hours entered here appear in the Dashboard and PDF totals but are not individual flights — they won't show up in the Logbook list view. # Importing Your Previous Logbooks Transfer your complete flight history from other logbook apps or airline systems into Wader. {% hint style="info" icon="star" %} **One‑Time Import** is no longer available. Today, importing previous logbooks is included with **Wader PRO**, which also gives you automated, unlimited imports. We’ve recently reduced the PRO price to make it more accessible, so it’s easier than ever to bring your entire flight history into Wader and keep it up-to-date. This page lists which formats are currently supported and how to get your file ready. ## How the import works 1. **Check supported formats** below — find your logbook app or airline system 2. **Follow the instructions** for your format to export the correct file 3. **Subscribe to PRO** to have access to the Import Logbook feature within the app or to be able to use the auto-upload by email. 4. **Submit your file** through your preferred method. 1. **Via web app:** access the web app ([https://logbook.waderaviation.com/](https://logbook.waderaviation.com/admin)) and go to **Import** in the lateral menu. Select the file source and upload the file. 2. **Via email:** forward the file to **\[airline]@wader.pro** using your email associated with your Wader account. 1. You may use IATA, ICAO or airline name, and the system will properly identify it). Example: , or . 2. If your airline uses AIMS/eCrew, you may also send it to . 5. LogTen Pro Before exporting, make sure your settings are correct: go to **Account → Settings → Display Options**, set **Time Format** to **Hours:Minutes**, and confirm that **Use Zulu (UTC) Time** is enabled. Then go to the **Reports tab** of your LogTen application (available in both mobile and desktop), select **Exporters**, and generate the **Export Flights (Tab)** report. RB Logbook Go to the **More tab** in RB Logbook, select **Import & Export Data**, and look for **Export to CSV**. Define the period you want to import and generate all available report types: **Flights, Aircraft, and People**. OffBlock In the OffBlock app, go to **Menu → Statistics, Reports, Exports** and tap **Total statistics**. Tap the **Export** button in the bottom-right corner, choose **Export as CSV**, then submit the CSV file.
ForeFlight In the ForeFlight app, go to **Logbook**, scroll all the way down and tap **MENU → SETTINGS**. Find the **Auto-Export** section, turn it on, and set **Export Options** to **CSV**. Tap **Export Now** and you will receive the CSV file by email. Submit that file — it already contains both your aircraft and your flights. ForeFlight uses its own aircraft type codes, so after uploading you will be asked to match each one to the correct aircraft type. **Tip:** if you use ForeFlight alongside Wader, you can forward the CSV attachment ForeFlight emails you straight to **** instead of downloading it and importing it manually.

🇪🇸 Air Europa Go to your **Casillero Digital** app and tap **Logbook**: Set the date range and select export format **"Recommended for Logten Pro X"**: You will receive the file in your corporate email. {% hint style="warning" %} If you opt to use the auto-upload via email, note that forwarding from **Apple Mail**, the CSV file may be embedded in the email body instead of attached and the import will not work. Use **Gmail** or **Outlook** instead to forward it to ensure the attachment is preserved. {% endhint %}
🇦🇪 Air Arabia Log in to the Air Arabia **Cesar web portal** and generate the **Electronic Log Book** file in Excel (.xls) format. {% hint style="info" %} Air Arabia's system sometimes links the wrong aircraft type to a tail number. Our import process automatically corrects this using the aircraft registration. If you spot any remaining issues after import, let us know. {% endhint %}
🇧🇷 Azul Linhas Aéreas Request your logbook by opening a **Service Now** request with Azul. Once you receive it, submit the **CSV** file. {% hint style="info" %} Azul Conecta uses a different format that is currently not supported. In that case, the [standard spreadsheet](#standard-spreadsheet) is the best option. {% endhint %}
🇦🇪 Emirates 1. Log in to the EK portal 2. Go to **All Apps → Flight Time Report** 3. Load the period you want to import 4. Click the **Download Spreadsheet** button (top-right corner of the table) Submit the downloaded Excel file.
🇧🇷 GOL Linhas Aéreas Get your monthly reports from **CrewLink**: go to the portal, select **FT Record** in the side menu, select the desired month, and click **Generate Report**. Download each monthly report and submit them all. {% hint style="warning" %} The consolidated file from the roster ("ESCALA") **cannot** be used — it does not include mandatory logbook information such as aircraft registration. {% endhint %}
🇧🇷 LATAM Airlines Brasil LATAM may provide you with a PDF logbook directly. Just make sure it is the original file, and not a regenerated printed PDF (which may not be readable). {% hint style="info" %} LATAM Cargo uses a different format that is currently not supported. 🌐 PDC CrewConnex If your airline uses the PDC CrewConnex crew portal, you can import your roster directly. Log in to the CrewConnex portal (efyweb3.pdc.com/crewconnex), open the **Roster** page for the month you want, then use your browser's **Print → Save as PDF** to download it and submit it. The roster doesn't record whether you flew as Captain or First Officer, so during import you'll be asked to **select your function (PIC or SIC)** — the block time is credited to that role for every flight, and the other pilot listed in the roster's Crew column is added as the second crew member. {% hint style="info" %} Only actual flights are imported. Off days, standby, and blank duties are skipped automatically. Times are recorded in the time reference shown in your roster's column headers — local by default, or UTC if your roster uses it. {% endhint %}
🇮🇪 Ryanair Ryanair EFB flight reports are emailed to you after each flight. Just forward them to **** from the email address registered in your Wader account. You can also add your company email as a secondary email to make this easier by going to our web app at
🇸🇪 SAS - Scandinavian Airlines Open the **SAS Crew Portal**, go to the **Airside** app, and select **Logbook**. Export it as **CSV**, then submit the file.
🇲🇻 Trans Maldivian Airways Go to the **RAMIS system** and export your flights in Excel format. {% hint style="warning" %} Make sure to upload the original (unaltered) file. {% endhint %}

To log one hour, write `1:00`. {% endhint %} # Updating Your Records via Import Learn how Wader handles duplicate flights on import When you import flights — whether through email auto-upload or the app import feature — Wader automatically checks whether each flight already exists in your logbook before saving it. ### Duplicate Detection A flight is considered a duplicate if an existing entry in your logbook overlaps in time with the incoming flight. Specifically, Wader compares block-on and block-off times (with a 5-minute tolerance to account for minor rounding differences between sources). If a match is found, Wader updates the existing record instead of creating a new one. ### What Gets Updated When a duplicate is detected, the following fields are refreshed with the data from the import file: * Route (departure and arrival airports) * Flight number, aircraft registration and type * Block-on / block-off times, and takeoff / landing times (if provided) * Pilot role (PIC, SIC, Dual, etc.) * Operational time values (night, IFR, cross-country, etc.) * Flight rules and conditions (VFR/IFR, Actual/Simulated Instrument) ### What Is Preserved Fields that you typically fill in manually after the initial import are never overwritten by a blank or missing value. If the import file doesn't include data for these fields, whatever you entered is kept: * Crew names — names you added or corrected are preserved unless the import file explicitly provides a different name * Takeoff and landing times — kept if the file doesn't include them (most airline roster files only carry block times) * Takeoff and landing counts — day/night takeoffs and landings are kept if the file carries no count data * Pilot Flying / Pilot Monitoring — preserved if not provided by the file * Approach type * Runway, SID, STAR, and transition * Departure and arrival notes and threats * Remarks / operational notes * Simulator qualification level ### In Plain Terms Re-importing the same file is safe. Wader will refresh the operational data from your airline's source while keeping everything you filled in yourself. You won't lose crew names you typed, approaches you logged, or notes you added. # Exporting Your Logbook Generate a PDF logbook from your Wader data. Wader can generate a professional PDF logbook ready for printing or sharing. Changes are saved automatically. ## How your profile is used in Wader * Your **profile photo** appears in the Feed alongside your shared flights and comments. * Your **name** is used in crew autocomplete when filling in pilot names across flights — keeping it accurate helps speed up logging. # Managing Your Subscription View invoices, update your payment card, or cancel your Wader PRO subscription. Where you manage your Wader PRO subscription depends on **where you bought it**. Wader doesn't process payments directly — subscriptions bought on the web are handled by Lemon Squeezy, and subscriptions bought inside the mobile app are handled by Apple or Google. You don't need to remember which one you used. Open your subscription screen and Wader shows you the right option automatically: * **Web app** — go to **Profile → Subscription**. * **Mobile app** — go to **More → Wader PRO**. ## If you subscribed on the web Your billing is handled by Lemon Squeezy. Tap **Manage Subscription** on either the web app or the mobile app and Wader opens your billing portal, where you can: * Download past invoices and receipts * Update your payment card * Cancel your subscription {% hint style="info" %} If the portal asks for an email address, enter the one you used when you paid — it sends you a sign-in link. That address isn't always the same as your Wader login email, especially if you paid with PayPal or used a work address at checkout. {% endhint %} ## If you subscribed in the iPhone or iPad app Your subscription is an Apple App Store purchase, so Apple handles billing and cancellation. Wader can't cancel it for you. 1. Open **Settings** on your iPhone or iPad. 2. Tap your name at the top, then **Subscriptions**. 3. Select **Wader** and choose to cancel or change your plan. You can also go straight to [apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions](https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions). ## If you subscribed in the Android app Your subscription is a Google Play purchase, so Google handles billing and cancellation. 1. Open the **Google Play Store** app. 2. Tap your profile icon, then **Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions**. 3. Select **Wader** and choose to cancel or change your plan. You can also go straight to [play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions](https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions). ## What happens when you cancel * PRO stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for — cancelling doesn't cut you off immediately. * You aren't charged again after that. * **Your flights and data are never deleted.** Your logbook stays intact; only PRO features become unavailable when the subscription ends. If you want to remove your account and data entirely, that's a separate process — see [Deleting Your Account](/account-and-settings/deleting-your-account). ## Still stuck? Preferences let you set smart defaults so you don't have to fill in the same fields every time you log a flight. Once configured, Wader pre-fills new flights based on your preferences. Existing flights are not affected. # Devices & Sync Using Wader on multiple devices and keeping your data in sync. Wader syncs your logbook to the cloud automatically. You can use the app on multiple devices with the same account and your data will stay in sync. ## Using a second device 1. Download Wader on your second device. 2. Sign in with **the same login method** you used on your first device — the same email address, or the same social login (Google, Facebook, or Apple). 3. Wader will download your flights from the cloud automatically. *** ## Cloud sync status Each flight card shows a sync status icon: * **Green cloud icon** — the flight is synced to the cloud. * **Red cloud icon** — the flight has pending changes and has not yet synced. An internet connection is required to complete the sync. *** ## Flights not appearing on a second device If flights you've logged on one device aren't showing up on another, follow these steps: 1. Make sure **both devices are online**. 2. On the device with the **newer data**: tap the sync button (top-right of the Logbook screen) or pull down to refresh. This forces an upload to the cloud. 3. On the **other device**: tap the sync button or pull down to refresh. This forces a download from the cloud. 4. Allow a few moments for the sync to complete. 5. If flights still don't appear: **update Wader to the latest version** (App Store / Google Play). Most sync issues are resolved in recent updates. 6. If the issue persists after updating: go to **More → Database Manager → Reset Database**. This deletes local data only and forces a fresh download from the cloud. {% hint style="warning" %} Before resetting the database, make sure all flights show a **green sync icon**. Any flights with a red icon (unsynced) will be lost during a reset. {% endhint %} *** ## "Downloading Flights" message keeps looping This usually happens with a large logbook, on slower network connections, or when using an outdated version of the app. **Step 1** — Update Wader to the latest version (App Store / Google Play), then reopen the app and wait for the download to complete. **Step 2** — If the loop continues after updating: go to **More → Database Manager → Reset Database** to force a fresh download. {% hint style="info" %} This issue is most common after importing a large amount of historical data or switching to a new device for the first time. {% endhint %} *** ## Clearing app data from your device (full reset) If you need to completely reset Wader's local data: 1. Go to **More → Database Manager → Reset Database**. 2. Your cloud data is **not affected** — it will re-download automatically once the reset is complete. {% hint style="warning" %} Any flights with a **red sync icon** (unsynced local changes) will be lost when you reset the database. Export or sync them before proceeding. {% endhint %}

Try all your email addresses You may be using the wrong one. For example: * You’re trying your Gmail, but the account was created with your Hotmail/Outlook * You signed up with your work email, not your personal one 👉 Try logging in with every email you might have used #### 2. # Deleting Your Account How to permanently delete your Wader account and all associated data. To delete your account, go to **Dashboard → Edit Profile → Delete Account**. Account deletion is **permanent and irreversible**. All your flight data, preferences, and account information will be erased from Wader's servers. If you accidentally delete your account, your data cannot be recovered. Before deleting, export your logbook if you need a copy of your records. {% hint style="danger" %} Deleting your account cannot be undone. Why are some flights shown in gray? Gray flights are incomplete — they're missing one or more required fields. Why are some flights missing from my totals? Same cause as gray flights — incomplete entries are excluded from totals. → See [Understanding Your Totals](/reference/totals) for a full explanation.
How can I edit multiple flights at once? Batch editing is not available for individual users. PRO subscribers can request assistance from the Wader team via the in-app Support Hub.
A deleted aircraft still appears in the Fleet tab Pull down to refresh on the **Totals tab** — this clears the cached fleet data and the old aircraft will disappear.
I made changes in Edit Times but they were lost Edit Times only works on flights that have already been saved. Save the flight first, then use **Edit Times** to adjust the values.
I can't find my aircraft type Search by ICAO code (e.g., B738, A320). If your aircraft isn't in the database, report it via the in-app Support Hub (**More → Support Hub**) and the team will add it.
I can't find an airport Search by ICAO code, IATA code, or city name. If the airport is missing, report it via the in-app Support Hub.

Wader automatically calculates night time based on the **apparent sunset and sunrise** at your departure and arrival airports, using the **NOAA Solar Calculator** methodology. Night time is the portion of your block time that falls after sunset at the departure airport or before sunrise at the arrival airport, whichever applies. ## Civil twilight Civil twilight is **not currently used** in Wader's night time calculation — this is a planned future enhancement. In practice, this typically results in a difference of 20–30 minutes per flight compared to civil twilight-based calculations. ## Manual adjustment If you need to set night time manually — for example, to match a different regulatory standard: 1. Open the flight and save it first. 2. Tap **Edit Times**. 3. Enter your night time value directly. {% hint style="warning" %} Save the flight before using Edit Times. Unsaved changes may be lost when switching to the time editor. {% endhint %}

## Turning off auto night calculation Auto night calculation can be turned off in **Preferences**. When off, you enter night time manually on every new flight. # Cross-Country Time How Wader handles cross-country time and how to set it correctly. Cross-country is a **property of the flight**, not a time you calculate. In Wader you tick the **Cross-Country** checkbox on a flight, and the whole block time for that flight counts towards your cross-country total. Because the definition differs between EASA and the FAA, Wader leaves the decision to you rather than guessing. ## Setting it once, in Preferences If most of your flying is cross-country, set **Preferences → Cross-country default** to on. New flights prefill with your choice, and you can still change it on any individual flight. {% hint style="info" %} Changing the default only affects new flights. Existing entries stay as they are. {% endhint %} ## What counts as cross-country ### EASA **FCL.010** defines a cross-country flight as a flight between a point of departure and a point of arrival following a **pre-planned route**, using **standard navigation procedures**. That means: * There is **no minimum distance** in the definition itself. * The arrival aerodrome does **not** have to be different from the departure one — an A-to-A navigation exercise can qualify. * Circuit training and unplanned local flying do **not** qualify. ### FAA Under **14 CFR § 61.1(b)(3)** the flight must include a **landing at a point other than the departure point**, using navigation. For most certificates and ratings that landing point must be **more than 50 NM straight-line from the original point of departure**; for rotorcraft ratings the threshold is **more than 25 NM**. The distance is measured from where **that logbook entry** started, not leg by leg. Splitting one flight into several entries does not create cross-country distance that was not there. | | EASA | FAA | | ---------------------- | --------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- | | Basis | Pre-planned route + standard navigation | Landing away from the departure point | | Minimum distance | None in the definition | >50 NM (>25 NM rotorcraft) | | A-to-A flights | Can qualify | Do not qualify | | Distance measured from | Not applicable | Original point of departure | ## Distance requirements come from the licence, not the definition This is the part that trips up most student pilots. The cross-country *definition* sets no distance — the *licence requirement* does. Under EASA Part-FCL: | Licence | Cross-country requirement | | ----------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **PPL(A)** | 5 hours solo cross-country, including one flight of at least **270 km (150 NM)** with full-stop landings at two aerodromes different from the departure aerodrome | | **CPL(A)** | 20 hours cross-country as PIC, including a VFR flight of at least **540 km (300 NM)** with full-stop landings at two aerodromes different from the departure aerodrome | | **ATPL(A)** | 200 hours cross-country, of which at least 100 as PIC or PICUS | {% hint style="warning" %} Confirm the current figures with your ATO or national authority before relying on them. Requirements differ between integrated and modular courses, and national variations exist. {% endhint %} ## Combining with your pilot function Cross-country is independent of the function you log. A flight can be cross-country and PIC, SIC, Dual, [PICUS](/reference/picus-time) or SPIC at the same time — tick the checkbox whichever function you selected. ## Recording the detail For flights you intend to count towards a specific licence requirement, use the **Remarks** field to note the routing, the landing aerodromes and the distance. If those hours are ever questioned at a licence application or a job interview, the evidence is already in your logbook. {% hint style="info" %} Some national authorities still expect ATPL cross-country experience to be evidenced in a physical logbook. Check with your competent authority before relying on an electronic record alone. {% endhint %} ## References * [EASA Easy Access Rules for Flight Crew Licencing (Part-FCL)](https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/document-library/easy-access-rules/easy-access-rules-flight-crew-licensing-regulation-eu-no-11782011) — FCL.010, FCL.210.A, FCL.510.A, Appendix 3 * [14 CFR § 61.1 — Applicability and definitions](https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-14/chapter-I/subchapter-D/part-61/subpart-A/section-61.1) # PICUS Time How Wader handles PICUS time and how it affects your PIC totals. **PICUS** — Pilot in Command Under Supervision — is a co-pilot performing the duties of a PIC on a multi-pilot flight, under the supervision of a qualified PIC. It is an EASA concept, used mainly to build the PIC experience needed for an ATPL and a command upgrade. ## How Wader handles it Select **PICUS** as the function on the flight form. Wader then: * counts that flight time towards your **PIC total** * keeps the PICUS label on the entry so the source of the time stays visible This follows the regulation rather than being an app preference — under EASA, PICUS **is** PIC time. {% hint style="warning" %} PICUS time must be **countersigned by the supervising PIC** to be valid. Without that endorsement it cannot be credited as PIC. {% endhint %} ## The regulatory basis **AMC1 FCL.050** lists PICUS among the pilot functions to be recorded, alongside PIC, SPIC, co-pilot, dual, FI and FE. It may be logged by a co-pilot acting as PICUS on an aircraft requiring more than one pilot — by type certification or by operational requirement — provided the time is countersigned by the PIC. For **ATPL(A)** issue, PICUS counts towards the PIC experience: an applicant needs 1 500 hours total, including 500 hours as PICUS, or 250 hours as PIC, or 250 hours of which at least 70 as PIC and the remainder as PICUS. ## If you need to track PICUS separately Some operators track PICUS apart from full command time. Wader has no "PICUS as SIC" option, so if you need this: 1. Log the flight with the **SIC** function. 2. In **Remarks**, note `PICUS – supervised by [Captain name]`. {% hint style="warning" %} Only do this for internal tracking. In Wader, a flight must have all required fields filled in to be considered **complete**. Tap the gray flight to open it. 2. Look for the **pending items** indicator — it lists the missing fields. 3. Fill in the required fields. 4. Save — the flight will return to normal color and be counted in your totals. **Tip**: Use the **"Incomplete flights only"** filter in the Logbook to quickly find all gray entries at once.

# Understanding Your Totals Why your totals may differ from what you expected, and how to reconcile your Dashboard with exports. ## How totals are calculated Wader counts all **valid (complete) flights** toward your totals. It does not infer or estimate missing values. Every flight that is counted is fully defined — all required fields have been filled in. If a flight is missing any required information, it is saved but excluded from totals until it is completed. *** ## What makes a flight valid The following fields are required for a flight to be counted: | Field | Notes | | -------------------------- | ------------------------- | | Flight date | | | Departure time (OUT) | | | Arrival time (IN) | | | Departure airport | | | Arrival airport | | | Aircraft type | | | Tail number (registration) | | | Pilot role (Function) | | | PIC name | Required under EASA rules | *** ## Incomplete flights (gray vs. green) Flights in your logbook are colour-coded based on their status: * **Gray** — the flight is saved but incomplete. It is missing one or more required fields and is **not counted** in your totals or included in exports. * **Green** — the flight is complete. All required fields are filled in and the flight **is counted** in your totals. Once you fill in all required fields on an incomplete flight, it turns green and is counted immediately. *** ## How to find and fix incomplete flights **Option A — Use the filter:** Open the filter panel in your logbook and select **Show incomplete logs only**. This filters your logbook to show only the flights that still need attention. **Option B — Open an individual flight:** Open any flight and scroll down to the **Flight Times** summary section. You will see a **Pending Items** list showing exactly which fields are still missing.

Work through each incomplete flight, fill in the missing fields, and save. Once all flights are green, your totals will reflect your complete logbook. *** ## Why your export may differ from the Dashboard Your Dashboard shows all complete flights with no filters applied. When you export, you configure filters — and those filters can cause the PDF total to differ from what you see in the Dashboard. ### Date range or aircraft filter When exporting, you select a specific date range and one or more aircraft types. If those filters exclude some flights, the PDF total will be lower than your Dashboard total. ### Previous experience toggle The **Add previous experience** toggle in the export settings includes or excludes your previous experience totals. If it is off, those hours will not appear in the PDF. ### Relief time deduction If **Deduct relief time** is enabled in export settings, your PDF will show lower totals than your Dashboard, which always shows gross time. *** ## Matching the Dashboard exactly {% hint style="info" %} To get a PDF that matches your Dashboard total exactly: select all aircraft, use the full date range, enable **Add previous experience**, and leave **Deduct relief time** off. {% endhint %} *** ## Why totals may differ from other logbook systems Different logbook systems handle missing data differently. Some systems count partial flights or infer missing values (such as estimating flight time from schedule data). Wader requires complete data for every counted flight, which ensures accuracy and consistency with regulatory requirements. If your Wader totals differ from another system, it is likely that: * The other system is counting flights that Wader considers incomplete. * The other system is applying different rules for what counts as a valid entry. The fix is the same either way: complete all flights in Wader so they show as green. # Getting Help How to report a problem or request support within Wader. LogTen Pro Before exporting, make sure your settings are correct: go to **Account → Settings → Display Options**, set **Time Format** to **Hours:Minutes**, and confirm that **Use Zulu (UTC) Time** is enabled. Then go to the **Reports tab** of your LogTen application (available in both mobile and desktop), select **Exporters**, and generate the **Export Flights (Tab)** report. If your file is missing this data or contains inconsistencies (such as Instrument Time exceeding total Duty Time), consider transferring your data to our [standard spreadsheet template](#standard-spreadsheet) to fill in any gaps before submitting. {% endhint %}
🇪🇸 Air Europa Go to your **Casillero Digital** app and tap **Logbook**: Set the date range and select export format **"Recommended for Logten Pro X"**: You will receive the file in your corporate email. {% hint style="warning" %} If you opt to use the auto-upload via email, note that forwarding from **Apple Mail**, the CSV file may be embedded in the email body instead of attached and the import will not work. Use **Gmail** or **Outlook** instead to forward it to ensure the attachment is preserved. {% endhint %}
🇦🇪 Air Arabia Log in to the Air Arabia **Cesar web portal** and generate the **Electronic Log Book** file in Excel (.xls) format. {% hint style="info" %} Air Arabia's system sometimes links the wrong aircraft type to a tail number. Our import process automatically corrects this using the aircraft registration. If you spot any remaining issues after import, let us know. {% endhint %}
🇧🇷 Azul Linhas Aéreas Request your logbook by opening a **Service Now** request with Azul. Once you receive it, submit the **CSV** **(preferred)** or the **PDF** file. {% hint style="info" %} Azul Conecta uses a different format that is currently not supported. In that case, the [standard spreadsheet](#standard-spreadsheet) is the best option. {% endhint %}
🇦🇪 Emirates 1. Log in to the EK portal 2. Go to **All Apps → Flight Time Report** 3. Load the period you want to import 4. Click the **Download Spreadsheet** button (top-right corner of the table) Submit the downloaded Excel file.
🇧🇷 GOL Linhas Aéreas Get your monthly reports from **CrewLink**: go to the portal, select **FT Record** in the side menu, select the desired month, and click **Generate Report**. Download each monthly report and submit them all. {% hint style="warning" %} The consolidated file from the roster ("ESCALA") **cannot** be used — it does not include mandatory logbook information such as aircraft registration. {% endhint %}
🇧🇷 LATAM Airlines Brasil LATAM may provide you with a PDF logbook directly. Just make sure it is the original file, and not a regenerated printed PDF (which may not be readable). {% hint style="info" %} LATAM Cargo uses a different format that is currently not supported. In that case, the [standard spreadsheet](#standard-spreadsheet) is the best option. {% endhint %}
🇲🇻 Trans Maldivian Airways Go to the **RAMIS system** and export your flights in Excel format. {% hint style="warning" %} Make sure to upload the original (unaltered) file. {% endhint %}
Others If your airline system provides you with all required logbook information in a different format, submit a request via the in-app Support Hub and the team will evaluate whether it can be imported.
