To start logging access the Flight screen by hitting the Plus Button and choosing the Flight option.

When you fly a same kind of operation regularly, with Wader you can enter all the information required for your logbook in 6 quick steps:

Remember to set your Preferences to get some fields on the Flight screen automatically populated, avoiding the need for repetitive data entry. Learn more in the Setting your preferences session:

If you haven't set your Preferences, the information from your first flight record will automatically become your default settings. Remember: you can change your Preferences at any time by going to the More tab and selecting the Preferences option.

Additional Information

Some operations may require additional information. Also, adjustments in the logbook details may be required when conducting different types of operations:

Approach - Select the type of approach procedure used. This field is optional and can be used for future reference.

Multi-pilot – Toggle this option when more than one pilot is required in the minimum operating crew, either due to aircraft certification or by regulations for the type of operation.

VFR + IFR – When this option is selected in the Flight Rules field, an extra field is opened for you to specify the time spent flying under each flight rule. The sum of these two flight times must be equal to the total flight time.

Stick/ Rest - In flights with augmented crew, usually for long-haul operations when you have relief pilots on board and rest times during the flight, two additional fields will be added for you to enter the flight time spent at the aircraft controls (Stick) and during rest (Rest).

Remarks - Information entered in this field will appear in the "remarks" column of your logbook, so there is a limit of 50 characters. You can use the remarks field to enter relevant information regarding that flight (i.e., checkrides, diversions, special procedures, endorsements)

Your logbook may be used for applying for new licenses or job interviews, so regulatory agencies and job recruiters will have access to the information entered in Remarks. Therefore, keep the information in Remarks as professional and accurate as possible.

Operational Information (optional)

In addition to the minimum required information for the logbook, you can save additional operational details of your flight in the departure and arrival fields.

Recording this information is entirely optional, but it contributes to raising the situational awareness of the entire pilot community, as it feeds airport statistics, and threat reports.

Also, this operational information can be very useful for future reference, when operating again in the same locations.

Information entered in the Departure/Arrival Notes is for personal reference only; it will not be visible to other users and will not be printed in your logbook when exported.
