Customize your Preferences to get some assistance with your daily flight logging. Information entered in your Preferences screen will automatically populate new flight entries, saving you time and reducing your workload.
To edit your preferences is easy. Hit the MORE tab and, in the Logbook menu select Preferences.
Don't worry, any preference can be easily edited or overwritten while filling out a new flight, directly on the Flight screen.
If you haven't saved any preferences, the information from your first flight record will become your default preferences settings.
Tailnumber prefix – Is the aircraft registration code. The initial characters (prefix) indicate the country of registration. Therefore, aircraft registered in the same country share the same tailnumber prefix. Choose the most commonly used prefix in your fleet.
Flight number prefix – Are the letters that come before the flight numbers. This prefix usually identifies the airline or operator. It can be a 2 letter-code (IATA) or a 3 letter-code (ICAO).
Crew size - Number of pilots on duty. You can choose a crew size based on the type of operation you perform most commonly.
Function - Choose the role you most frequently perform on board. Always consult your local regulations' criteria to determine how flight time is credited for a specific onboard function.
Flight Rules - Select which rule your flights are most often based on:
IFR - Instrument Flight Rules.
VFR - Visual Flight Rules.
IFR + VFR - for flights partially performed under IFR and partially under VFR.
Flight conditions - Select in which conditions your flight was conduced:
Sim. Instrument - IFR training under the hood.
Actual Instrument - Real instrument meteorological conditions (optional information in most Logbooks).
None - If you wish to leave this field blank.
Cross country – Your flight time will be considered as navigation time.
Refer to your local regulation’s criteria to correctly credit flight time as navigation.
Auto night calc time - Enable automatic calculation of night hours as default. The algorithm considers the actual sunset and sunrise times along the route (great circle) for this calculation.
