The app’s auto night calculation is currently based on the apparent sunset and sunrise at the departure and arrival airports. For more details on how this is calculated, you can refer to the .

At present, the app does not calculate night time based on civil twilight. However, we plan to add this option in the future, along with the ability to define fixed night time periods (e.g., 18:00 to 06:00) as required by certain regulations.

If your local authority uses a different definition of night time for logbook purposes, please so we can implement it in the future.

For those needing to strictly adhere to civil twilight calculations, note that the difference is generally about 20–30 minutes per flight. To make manual adjustments:

  1. Keep the auto night calculation enabled.

  2. Open the Flight Time Summary after your flight.

  3. Tap the Edit icon to adjust the night time as needed.
